Gift Wrapping Guide
Editor in Chief Janice Leary
FIRST:
Place the gift upside down on top of your square of gift wrap.
SECOND:
Take the sides of the gift wrap and bring them to the middle of the back of the gift. Secure the gift wrap with tape on the middle point of the gift. Make sure that the gift wrap is tight around the gift so that it looks neat and does not shift.
THIRD:
With the extra paper that sticks out from ends, fold down the top flap. Crease the sides of the paper.
FOURTH:
Fold the sides of the paper over the top flap that has just been folded down. Then crease the folds.
FIFTH:
Fold over a little of the bottom flap so that the edge is smooth. Then fold the bottom flap over all of the other folds. Secure with tape. Repeat these steps on the other side.
TIPS!
1. If your gift has a special cover, like hardcover book, wrap it with tissue paper so that any tape used to secure the wrapping paper will not damage the cover.
2. Before cutting your square of gift wrap, fit it around your gift roughly to be sure that you do not cut your paper too short!
